Absent Report

You may track attendance for members in your church and print reports from the Attendance layout. CMK assumes that worship happens every seven (7) days. Additionally, it provides for Advent, Lenten, and four special services (see below for more information on special services). The layout is designed to help you track attendance for an entire year at a time. Of course you can print an attendance report at anytime during the year. The attendance records are in a portal that relates to the Attendance file in which the record is actually stored. The portal automatically sorts itself so that the most recent year is at the top of the portal. It is necessary to enter the first date for each record in your file once each year.

  1. To begin tracking attendance click on the "Attendance" button which will open the Attendance Report layout.

  2. If the dates for which you want to enter attendance already appear next to the check boxes proceed to mark attendance.

  3. If the dates do not correspond to the dates for which you want to track attendance enter the First Date (usually the first Sunday of the year) in the First Date field (see above). To enter attendance or view a year other than that appearing in the portal row scroll down by clicking on the down arrow at the right of the portal.

  4. CMK will automatically compute the remaining dates for the year in the current record only. This means that you will have to enter the First Date for each record in your file.

  5. Return to step 2.

Special Services

CMK provides four blank fields for special services. You may enter any service title or date you desire into these four fields on the Enter Attendance Dates layout. The special services will appear with check boxes on the full page report layout.

Printing Reports

    1. Find Absent - Allows you to specify the minimum number of absences for which to search and then displays those records meeting your search criteria.
    2. Print Absent Report - Allows you to specify the minimum number of absences for which to search and then prints a report showing all of those absences. See Absent Report below for details on this report.
    3. Print Individual Reports - Prints a complete attendance report for each record in the current found set. Each record is printed on a separate 8.5 in. x 11 in. page.
    4. Print Attendance-At-A-Glance - Presents a dialog that will allow to print the current found set on 8.5 in. x 11 in. pages with multiple records on each page or view the current found set in a continuous list on screen. This is handy when you want to scroll through records in your office to look for patterns in attendance without wasting paper.

Absent Report

The absent report provides you with the opportunity to view those who have been absent a specified number of times or more. The report is accessed by either pressing the "Find Absent" or "Print Absent Report" buttons. After pressing either button you will be taken to a layout on which you will need to specify the minimum number of absences for which to search. Enter the number as a positive number. In the image below the minimum number is 10.

In this example CMK will find the records of all of those who have 10 or more absences to date. Once you have entered the minimum number of absences click on the "Continue" button which will either print the report (if you pressed the Print Absent Report button) or take you to the Absent Report layout (if you pressed the Find Absent button).

The report shows the above information for each person in the current found set as defined by the minimum number of absences. As you can see the report shows the contact information for each person. The report also shows how many weeks have been missed out of the number of weeks to date. The calculation of weeks is based on the First Date described above. The Notes section allows you to record any contact information or notes about the member. The date is automatically updated when you enter a note.

These navigation buttons that appear at the top right of the Absent Report layout. You may need to scroll to find these buttons on smaller monitors or at lower resolutions.
