The Pastor file is designed to allow the pastor to keep private notes about visits and other communication with members. To access the Pastor file click the "Pastor Private Record" button on the Pastor Confidential Record layout which is accessible by clicking the same button on the Ministry & Church layout.
Note: This file can and probably should be password protected separately from the other files in CMK. To change the password for this file follow the directions in the Password help file.
A description of the unique fields and buttons in this file is below.
Send A Pastoral Letter - You may compose and send a letter to the individual member or to all members in the Pastor file. To do this click the button which will open the Letter layout.
Church Membership Keeper - Clicking this button returns you to the related file in CMK's main file.
Personal Contact, Phone, Relationship - CMK allows you to track upto five contacts for each record. This is handy when the record belongs to a sick or shut-in member who may not reside with a family member.
Date of Visit, Description - These fields allow you to keep a diary of your visits.
Record On File - This field is useful for tracking important information such as those listed. You may edit the check boxes in this field by clicking on the "Edit List Above" button. The field size restricts this field to a maximum of five check boxes.
Pastor's Notes - You may add any other general notes to this field.
